BBC Radio Asian Network

Beginning as a full-time regional service in 1996, before becoming available nationally via DAB in 2002, the BBC Asian Network has roots in programming created for Asian communities in the Midlands from Radio Leicester and BBC WM, which eventually developed into a joint station.
